Field Trip 6th Grade To The Textile Museum and Planetarium

On February 4th, the sixth graders and I went on a field trip. We went to the textile museum and planetarium. We had to study till 8 a.m because the museum isn't open till then.

At eight, the teachers let us go down to the field. We waited there and prayed. Then, we were separated by numbers. Even and odd. The even-numbered students are on one bus, the odd-numbered students on the other. I was on the even-numbered bus.

First, we went to the textile museum. The bus ride was quite loud. Everyone joking around and shouting. They played some music. The singer was 5 Seconds of Summer. My friends enjoyed it.

When we got there, we were told to go and wait under a big tree. There were benches and since we were early, we waited there for the other bus to arrive.

Not long after, the other bus arrived and everyone pilled out. We were told to make lines divided by class. There were instructors telling some rules.

We got in by classes. My class first went to the batik room. We learned a lot about batik. The tools, the organic paint and the different kinds of batik from all around Indonesia.

Then, we were told to find the samples of batik. We walked around the rooms, trying to find the ones named. They were all beautiful. There was an old room. The bed covers and pillows were made of batik.

After that, we went outside and were told to find the plants that made certain colors. There were yellow, red, green and many others. It was raining lightly so, we had to hurry.

Lastly, we made our own batik. Before our class, there were the 6A group. The instructor told us the rules and what we should do and how to do it. We were let in and we took seats with our batiks in hand. It was really fun.

Before we go had lunch. Then, I was told to get the 6A's. The 6B's were last. Not long after, we went to planetarium. They played the music again and like before, everyone was being loud.

Luckily, there were no long traffics. We all went around the museum, writing stuff down like, space shuttles, meteors and satellites. It went on for a while.

Then, we were called to watch the show. We had to wait a few minutes for the gate to open. It finally did and everyone went upstairs to the theater. We were the first ones there and we all took a seat. There were soft music playing. We weren't the only one watching. There's another school that came after us.

The show finally started with the room going pitch black. Then, stars appeared. It was amazing. Everyone was in awe. There were planets, the galaxy, the sun, the moon and stars. We were told about star names and constellations like, Orion and Perseus. The show went on for about 1 and a half hour.

When the show ended, we all went out. Some went to the bathroom, some went to buy a drink or snack and the others went back to the bus. Then, we rode back to school.

The trip was great. For me, quite better that the ones before. There were a lot information and we learned a lot. We got to be creative, see the universe. It was really fun.
